Mothers' day!

Yesterday was Mothers' day, which was a very nice day for me.  It started with my husband and children making breakfast for me.  We went to church as usual and in our nursery class (age 18 months to 3 years) that I team teach we did an activity where I took pictures of all the kids with their moms and turned them into coloring pages.  It was funny to watch the kids who don't normally color anything color with excitement the picture of them and their mom.  Meanwhile the kids who normally color anything you put infront of them did nothing to the pictures at all!  It is very entertaining to me how different their personalities are at such a young age.  After church I laid down with my youngest Emma and took a nap while my husband made hamburgers for dinner.
Following dinner we went to my moms house to bring mothers' day cheer and gifts.  We also had the tremendous privilege of talking to my brother Christian on the phone from Guatemala.  He is really struggling with transition to living in a third world country where everyone speaks a different language. I know the Lord will bless him as he continues to rely on Him.  I also know that as Chris continues to teach the people he will have a deeper love for the people as well as an appreciate and respect for them and the way they live. Overall it was a fabulous day and I feel very blessed! grwater
